Offboarding

Manage employee exits with structured offboarding plans, clearance tasks, resignation letters, and asset recovery — so every departure is handled smoothly and completely.

How Offboarding Works

Like onboarding, offboarding uses plans and tasks:

  • Plans — exit templates (for example, "Standard Resignation Offboarding").
  • Tasks — steps for HR, IT, Finance, and the departing employee.
  • Offboardings — active exit cases for specific employees.

Resignation Letters

Employees can submit resignation requests, or HR can record them under Offboarding → Resignation Letters. Each letter includes the reason, requested last working day, and approval status.

Starting an Offboarding

  1. Record or accept the employee's resignation.
  2. Go to Offboarding → Offboardings and create a new case.
  3. Assign an offboarding plan with tasks for each department.
  4. Track progress on the Offboarding Board.

Typical Exit Tasks

  • HR — exit interview, final documentation, update employee status.
  • IT — revoke system access, recover laptop and equipment.
  • Finance — calculate final settlement, process last payslip, settle loans.
  • Admin — collect ID card, keys, and other company property.
  • Employee — complete handover, return assets, acknowledge policies.

Offboarding Board

The board gives a visual overview of all active exits. Move tasks through stages to ensure every clearance step is completed before the last working day.

Employee Experience

Departing employees see Complete Offboarding in their sidebar with their assigned tasks. They can complete handover items and track what is still pending.

Final Settlement

Finance handles the last payslip through the Payroll module, including any unpaid salary, leave encashment, and recovery of outstanding loans or advances. See Payroll & Payslips and Loans & Advances for details.
