Asset Management

Track company equipment — laptops, phones, furniture, and more — from purchase to assignment and return. Employees can request assets, and HR can manage the full inventory lifecycle.

Module Overview

The Assets module is organized into several areas accessible from the sidebar:

  • Dashboard — overview of inventory status and recent activity.
  • Inventory — full list of all assets with details and status.
  • Categories — organize assets by type (Electronics, Furniture, etc.).
  • Batches — group assets purchased or received together.
  • Requests — employee requests for equipment.
  • History — complete log of assignments, returns, and changes.

Setting Up Categories

Before adding assets, create categories under Assets → Categories. Common categories include Laptops, Mobile Phones, Monitors, and Office Furniture.

Adding Assets to Inventory

Go to Assets → Inventory and add each item with:

  • Asset name and category
  • Serial number or asset tag
  • Purchase date and cost
  • Current status (Available, Assigned, Under Repair, Retired)

Assigning Assets to Employees

  1. Find the asset in Inventory or process an employee's request from the Requests page.
  2. Assign it to the employee — the asset status changes to Assigned.
  3. The assignment is recorded in History and visible on the employee's profile.

Employee Asset Requests

Employees can submit requests for equipment they need. HR reviews requests on the Requests page, approves or rejects them, and assigns available inventory.

Returning Assets

When an employee leaves or no longer needs an item, mark the asset as returned from Inventory or during the offboarding process. The asset becomes available again for reassignment.

During Offboarding

Asset return is a standard part of the exit process. Check the employee's profile and the Offboarding board to ensure all assigned equipment is recovered before their last day.
