Employment Contracts

Contracts define the terms of employment for each employee — their salary, contract type, and duration. They connect directly to payroll and help HR track probation periods and renewals.

Where to Find Contracts

Go to Finance → Contract to see all employment contracts. You can also view and manage contracts from an individual employee's profile.

Contract Types

  • Permanent — ongoing employment with no fixed end date.
  • Probation — initial evaluation period for new hires.
  • Internship — fixed-term training or internship engagement.
  • Contract / Consultant — time-limited or project-based engagement.

Creating a Contract

  1. Open Finance → Contract and click to add a new contract.
  2. Select the employee.
  3. Choose the contract type and set the start date (and end date if applicable).
  4. Enter the wage or salary amount — this is used for payroll calculations.
  5. Attach a signed copy of the agreement if available.
  6. Save the contract.

Contract Status

Contracts can be active, expired, or terminated. When a contract status changes (for example, probation completed and moved to permanent), update it in the system so payroll and records stay accurate.

Connection to Payroll

The wage defined in an employee's active contract is the basis for their monthly salary. Allowances, deductions, provident fund, taxes, and loan repayments are applied on top of this base amount when generating payslips.
